Rampage Jackson's Last car wreck that was his fault

You all may remember his last wreck from 2008 in which he evaded the police in a short chase ending in his arrest.

The following is a video with a couple of photos and details of the event.

A-Team star - Rampage Jackson car accident.... not his fault this time

Rampage wrecks a ride, but it's not his fault this time

TMZ is reporting that Quinton "Rampage" Jackson, the former UFC champ who is now working on a movie career, got into a fender-bender today. However, unlike the wreck he caused in the summer of 2008, this one is not his fault. Jackson was driving home from a car dealership in his brand new Audi R8 and was rear-ended by a little old lady.
"I am fine, the little old lady is fine, but my car got hurt, and for that I'm sad," Jackson told TMZ.
There is no word on if the little old lady is from Pasadena. As for Jackson, he seems to have no trouble settling into the role of a movie star. He even knows how to talk to paparazzi.

Soundtrack.net interviews original A-Team theme composer Garry Schymanck.

Source: http://www.soundtrack.net/features/article/?id=260

Does any of your previous incarnations as a composer for such 80s TV shows as "Magnum, P.I." and "A-Team" help get you in the right mindset for doing the work?

Well, of course, those are the early series that I worked on when I first got into the business were in the 80s. But, in the sense that they were sort of like an evolution. I mean, we were just talking about the history of scoring. It was an evolution. The one innovation that Mike Post and Pete Carpenter, who were the composers and I worked with them and I was one of their team who was producing, writing a lot of music for those scores was to have an orchestra and then a rock rhythm section. Now, the 70s was more about funk, and was more jazz focused with some rock. But, the 80s which was very much the post Carpenter era had these additions.

But, that aspect, of having an orchestra and then having a rhythm section within the orchestra, was something that I definitely gained a lot of experience writing for in the 80s. That was what those gigs were. Every week I was turning in cues, writing cues and had an orchestra to record it. Of course it had this rhythm section of drums, guitar, keyboard and bass that had that feel.

So, that certainly and I know this is a long winded answer - but certainly that prepared me. This was not an unfamiliar territory for me. Let's put it that way. Even though stylistically, ultimately it is different.

A-Team Movie News :: A-Team movie director Joe Carnahan still has hopes for Mr. T Cameo

Although Mr. T has declined to have any presence in the new A-Team movie, Director Joe Carnahan isn't quite ready to discount the possibility of a Mr. T cameo in the film.  If not this film perhaps in a future sequel??  According to Joe, there is a fighting chance.

"I think that he has tremendous respect for Rampage, and I think that there's always a way to make these things work, and to have his presence in this film would be a big boom"

A Team Movie News :: Director Joe Carnahan explains the first 2010 A-Team Movie Trailer

Now that the A-Team trailer has hit the net, the director Joe Carnahan wants to assure fans of the original show that they are not left behind with the new movie.  He states that 25 years have passed since the A-Team's debut and it was necessary to evolve the parts of the story and to give it a real world feel, while keeping the levity of the original storyline.

It was important that we let the fanbase know we hadn't abandoned the television show and the characters everyone loved so much. It was a big part of it and important to convey that. But also to let people know that 25 years have gone by since 'The A-Team' was on the air, and [we] want to evolve that story that needs to be evolved and should be evolved, and I think we spent a considerable amount of time doing that. The approach is gritty and more real world, with everything that is going on in Iraq and the Middle East, there were certain things that I felt were important to conform. ...Because the show was very whimsical and campy at times, and we wanted to avoid that. As much as the dark knight avoids the old Adam West incarnation of Batman, we wanted to do the same thing.

Also when interviewed by IGN about the trailer, Carnahan wanted to assure fans that The A-Team was still originally a part of the Army despite showing a Marine plane in part of the 2010 A-Team movie trailer

IGN: They are still Army, right? Because there's a scene in the trailer where we see them in a Marine plane.

Carnahan: Oh, no, they're Army, even to the point where I think we amped that up. I don't want to give it away because I think it's a really cool device we use to kind of bond these guys in a way, and narratively we don't have to spend these long periods of time explaining why they got so close so fast. But listen, I think that if you're a fan of that show and you have any doubts about the movie, you should have none. You have absolutely nothing to worry about.

A-Team Movie News :: Mr. T will not appear in new A-Team Film

Mister T Pities the Fool that Wants Him to do an A-Team Cameo

The A-Team (2010) Movie — By Nix on December 28, 2009
According to Mister T himself, don’t expect to see a T cameo in Joe Carnahan’s upcoming “A-Team” feature film. Mind you, it’s not about the money, or so the jewel-encrusted one tells Latino Review during a visit to the gym. Yes, Mister T still goes to the gym. What, you think those muscles grow overnight? As to the cameo, Mister T just doesn’t, well, see the point.
He said it wasn’t about money, because he turned down the chance to appear in the film before that was even discussed. He said it just wouldn’t be right for him to be in it. If his B.A. isn’t the main guy, then why do it? What’s wrong with the film that they need him to make a cameo? Plus they would market the film with him being in it, and he didn’t want his friends and family to think he would have some big role when he wouldn’t. He told me he has nothing against the cast or even the fact that they’re doing a remake. But a cameo is just something he wasn’t interested in.
Dwight Schultz’s cameo is already confirmed, and Dirk Benedict has already said Yes. That leaves George Peppard, but unless Joe Carnahan knows how to raise the dead, that doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen. Of course, I wouldn’t put anything pass Hollywood, even black voodoo magic.
Mister T’s reason for not doing a cameo sounds a bit silly to me. I doubt if Carnahan and the movie will be trumpeting his cameo as a big part of the film, and it’s not like he has a lot going on at the moment. I’m just saying. Why not just do it? Then again, he is Mister T, and I’m not…
Carnahan’s “A-Team” arrives this Summer with Liam Neeson as Hannibal, Bradley Cooper as Faceman, Sharlto Copley as “Howling Mad” Murdock and UFC champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson as B.A. Baracus.

Mr T Snickers ad pulled for being offensive to gay people

Mars has pulled a UK TV ad for Snickers featuring Mr T harassing a speed walker for being a "disgrace to the man race" after US complaints that it was offensive to gay people.
The American confectionary giant pulled the Snickers ad even though it was never shown on TV in the US - as happened last month with the Heinz Deli Mayo ad featuring two men kissing.
The Snickers ad, made by the same agency that caused an international furore with the Heinz male kiss commercial, was first broadcast in the UK on July 13.
The commercial, by ad agency AMV BBDO, features Mr T in full-on BA Baracus mode, the character he played in The A-Team.
It opens with Mr T crashing through a building on the back of a flatbed truck mounted with a Snickers-firing machine gun.
Mr T pulls alongside a man in tight yellow shorts who is speed walking and growls: "Speed walking. I pity you fool. You a disgrace to the man race. It's time to run like a real man."
He then opens fire, peppering the man with Snickers bars and forcing him to break into a run.
In the UK the TV ad barely ruffled feathers, the Advertising Standards Authority said.
The ASA received just two complaints and did not investigate the commercial for a possible breach of the advertising code.
However, the ad caused a storm overseas. A US advertising industry title published an open letter challenging Omnicom, AMV BBDO's American parent company.
The Human Rights Campaign criticised Mars for perpetuating "the notion that the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community is a group of second class citizens and that violence against GLBT people is not only acceptable, but humorous".
Mars said that the ad was meant to be "fun", that it never intended to cause offence and has pulled the campaign.
"This ad is the second in a series of UK Snickers Ads featuring Mr T, which are meant to be fun and have been positively received in the UK," said a spokeswoman for Mars.
"However, we understand that humour is highly subjective, and it is never our intention to cause offence. Accordingly, we have pulled the Mr T Speedwalker ad globally."

Mr. T's World of Warcraft Commercial

Mr. T is a Night Elf Mohawk.

Maybe Mr. T hacked the game and created a Mohawk class, maybe Mr. T is pretty handy with computers. Did that occur to you Mr. condescending director?

Dirk Benedict is perhaps best known for his roll as Templeton Peck 'Faceman' from the A-Team, however he also played Lieutenant Starbuck in the 1978 series of Battlestar Galactica.  In the second season of the A-Team in the opening credits Faceman is shown looking (in a moment of deja-vu) as a person dressed as a Cylon walks by.

The A-Team Van

Perhaps equally as notorious as the A-Team themselves was their typical mode of transportation.  Everybody remembers Mr. T 'B.A. Baracus' driving around in that black van with the red stripe on the side and red mag wheels.  People often wonder about the details of that van.  I have listed below a few details about it as well as a video of somebody doing a burnout in a replica of the famed vehicle. I thought it was pretty cool.  By the way, what kind of car insurance do you think the A-Team had on this van with all of the gun fire and stunt driving?

GMC G-Series (G-15) Van Details

  • Make & Model: GMC G-Series (G-15)
  • Engine: 350 c.i. V-8
  • Carburetor: Two barrel carb
  • Transmission: Automatic Transmission
  • Wheels: 15" American Racing 14 Spoke wheel with 60 Series BF Goodrich Sport Truck T/A radials

"Face" was often seen with a flashy white 1984 Chevy Corvette. The 'vette was rented from a Los Angeles rental agency and was plain white, with the red stripe put on every time it was used in taping a show.

A-Team Smart Car?

B.A. stands for Bad Attitude.... Best respect the Smart Car sucka.  I don't think that B.A. would have had quite the intimidating effect stepping out of one of these things.  Maybe they have gone Green?  Maybe they're being chased by Al Gore?  Maybe this is for some mission in a village with tiny streets?  At any rate, gotta love the paint job!!
